Shoppers warned about purse thefts after woman in her 90s was victim in Stamford High Street
Shoppers are being warned to keep an eye on their belongings today (Friday, January 17) after a woman in her 90s lost about £750 to purse thieves on market day.
On Friday last week (January 10), staff in Card Factory in Stamford High Street were warning customers to be on their guard because of thefts that took place that morning.
One victim had paid for goods in Card Factory, but at some point afterwards her purse was stolen from her handbag, which was inside her shopping trolley.
