Wartime shell turns out to be moneybox

BOMB disposal officers say that a wartime shell found in a skip is safe.

Officers from RAF Wittering were called to Bourne Skip Hire, in Cherry Holt Road, at about 12.20pm this afternoon after a shell, believed to be an 18lb First World War shrapnel shell, was found at in a skip.

The team has assessed the shell and found that it was used as a money box.
