Three unique handmade wristwatches produced by Robert Loomes in Stamford have been flown out to Nepal to mark the start of a ‘climb of a lifetime’.

The wristwatches that had previously been handed over to The Royal Gurkha Regiment by Robert Loomes and Co, will be part of The Gurkha 200 Everest Expedition 2015.

The regiment has joined forces with Robert Loomes and the Mountain Trust, to send an English wrist watch to the summit of Mount Everest.

The expedition will mark 200 years of Gurkhas serving in the British Army, which will take place in May.
