Little ones at the Corby Glen Playgroup can enjoy the outdoors in all weathers, thanks to funding from the local Co-op store.

A grant from the branch means the children can now sport red waterproof jumpsuits when the rain falls.

Amy Roberts, from the playgroup, said: “Funding is a key element to keep the playgroup the fantastic facility it is and to allow the children to have new activities, clothes and toys.

“As part of funding received in January we decided to buy all the children some all-in-one waterproof suits; this enables us to take the children out and about but they stay warm and dry, plus reflective, keeping them safe and no one misses out.

“We would like to thank the local Co-op for choosing us as their local charity and supporting a fantastic facility for the children in Corby Glen and surrounding villages.”

Corby Glen Playgroup is a charity-run childcare centre for children aged between two and five, and runs at the Ron Dawson Hall in the village.
