Sergeant Paul Kear describes the challenges policing Rutland during and after lockdown

From the desolation of the first five weeks of lockdown, to the reopening of pubs on ‘Super Saturday’, this year has been a strange one for Sergeant Paul Kear.

Here he describes the challenges of keeping people safe in 2020.

“Whatever anyone thinks about the police, our over-arching reason for being here is to keep people safe,” says Sergeant Paul Kear, who is examining some crime figures for Rutland.
