Lincolnshire County Council advises schools to stay open if it is safe to do so

Lincolnshire County Council is advising schools to stay open if it is safe to do so.

The advice from the council's executive member for children's services Coun Patricia Bradwell (Con) comes amid a mounting dispute between unions and the Department for Education over whether schools should remain open in the face of rising coronavirus cases.

In this area, most schools are open as normal or will reopen tomorrow, following a teacher training day.
