THE marriage of Dr Samantha Duff, only daughter of Jimmy and Linda Duff, of Lonsdale Road, Stamford, and Maj Edward Watters, second son of Val and Arthur Watters, of Coxwold, Yorkshire, took place at St Michael’s Church, Coxwold, the Rev Ian Kitchen officiating.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a bridal gown and cloak and was attended by Michelle Cooper, Anne, Lucy and Harry Watters and Freddie Stevenson.

Maj Ray Kolczak was best man, and along with Maj Calvert, formed a guard of honour outside the church.

After a reception at the Fauconbere Arms, Coxwold, the couple spent their honeymoon in Namibia.

The bride, a scientist, and the bride groom, an engineer, will continue to live in York.
