Teachers share their experiences of working during a pandemic thanks to a blog by school furniture manufacturers Willowbrook Education
Furniture manufacturers are shining a spotlight on the role of teachers during the pandemic.
Willowbrook Education is a Ketton-based company which designs and manufactures furniture for schools.
Working so closely with the education sector inspired staff to delve into the world of teaching during lockdown.
School staff were invited to submit their stories which have been shared on the company's website.
Creative director Brodie McCarthy said:"Teachers have done such an amazing job during the coronavirus pandemic. The blog is our way of giving them a voice to share ideas and talk about their experiences of covid."
Teachers from across the country got in touch to share their stories.
The blog features a student who is still in training, a newly qualified teacher, experienced staff and a childminder.
Brodie said: "Seeing what they have written really drives homes how difficult it has been for teachers to adjust to a new way of working, and to have to do it overnight.
"To still be engaging during an online lesson is a really difficult thing to do. All our teachers have done an amazing job."
The company, which has been based on the outskirts of Ketton for 10 years, hopes to continue the blog as a way for teachers to engage with each other on issues and ideas.
