Winning speech for Catmose trio

Pupils from Catmose College in Oakham put on a winning performance at the district finals of the Rotary Youth Speaks Competition.

The district finals of the national public speaking competition took place at Catmose College, with the team representing the school being crowned the winning team.

The team including pupils, Yaznia Pourmozafari and Gemma Gregory from year eight and Tom Law from year nine represented the College at the district finals of the annual competition.

Yanzia Pourmozafaria was given the individual speaker’s prize for her performance.

The pupils will now go on to compete at the regional finals being held at Catmose College for a second time on April 26.
