80 people brave Storm Dennis to attend Uppingham in Bloom's winter warmer lunch

More than 80 people braved Storm Dennis on Saturday to attend Uppingham in Bloom’s winter warmer fundraising lunch at Uppingham Town Hall.

The event was a huge success and raised just short of £800 which will go towards the annual planting in the town.

The Bloom committee members and volunteers worked very efficiently serving homemade soup followed by jacket filled potatoes and refreshments along with manning an ever popular tombola stall.

Miranda Jones, chairman of Uppingham in Bloom, said: "I would like to thank everyone who attended, helped and contributed to make this one of our most successful events."
