Residents are encouraged to register to be part of South Kesteven District Council’s garden waste collection scheme, or renew if you are an existing member.

With spring around the corner, it’s time to plan how you will enjoy your garden throughout the season and into the summer, and SKDC’s garden waste collection service can make it easier.

Renew or register using direct debit at www.southkesteven.gov.uk/greenbin and you can get a discount.

Last year over 27,000 residents joined the scheme, saving them money and hassle with no need for trips to the tip or mess to the interiors of their cars with bags of garden waste.

You can even take your green bin(s) with you if you move within the district and notify SKDC of your new address.

Correspondence has now been sent to existing members of the scheme reminding them to take advantage of the service.

Executive member for environment Councillor Nick Craft said: “Our ever popular garden waste collection service is easier than ever to join.

“If you register or renew the service by direct debit, you’ll even get a discount.”
