Witness appeal after hit and run in Stamford

Police are trying to find a driver who hit a pedestrian in Stamford.

The incident happened at the mini roundabout on the A1175 and A1621, next to Stamford Hospital, at about 3.45pm on Wednesday, September 9.

According to police a dark coloured vehicle, possible an Audi, was stopped at the roundabout when a male pedestrian crossed in front of it. The vehicle moved forward, knocking the man onto the bonnet and to the floor.

The driver waiting for the man to get to his feet and out of the way before turning towards St Paul’s Street.

Witnesses should call 101 quoting reference number 15000090787.
