Police appeal for witnesses following two-vehicle collision on Tolethorpe Road near Ryhall




A man who suffered serious injuries following a two-car collision near Ryhall is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

The man, who is in his 30s, was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham, by air ambulance, following the incident in Tolethorpe Road, near to the A6121 junction, at around 9am.

A second man, who is in his 40s and was driving the other vehicle involved in the collision, was taken to the same hospital where he remains.

Leicestershire Police said his injuries were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

Detectives are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who saw either vehicle beforehand – a red Citreon DS3 and a black Mitsubishi Outlander – to make contact.

Detective Constable Pete Davies said: “We are continuing to establish the full circumstances and are asking anyone who was in the area and who has any information to contact us if you have not already done so.

“Did you see either of the vehicles in the area beforehand? Did you witness the incident? Do you have any dashcam from the area which could help?”
