Woman airlifted to hospital from Rutland Water

A 35-year-old woman was air lifted to hospital on Friday morning.

The Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance was called to Rutland Water at 11am to tend to the woman who hurt her back while out walking her dog.

A spokesman for the air ambulance said: “The female was in a great deal of pain in her lower back and complaining of numbness to her lower leg.

“The crew made the female more comfortable before air lifting her to Leicester Royal Hospital for further care.”
