Women hurt in car crash in Ashwell

Two women were taken to hospital after a two-car crash in Ashwell.

The cars crashed in Whissendine Road at about 3.30pm yesterday (September 22). Fire crews from Oakham and Stamford were called to the scene.

The two women were rescued from their cars and taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary by ambulance.

Details about their injuries have not been released.
