WORK has begun on a mini roundabout on a busy road.

Lincolnshire County Council is installing it at the junction between St Leonard’s Street and Cherry Holt Road in Stamford.

The road is also being narrowed in one place to provide a safer crossing point for pedestrians.

Once the work is finished the road will be resurfaced.

Temporary traffic lights are in place while the work is being done.

Double yellow lines have been painted in Cherry Holt Road following a consultation.

County council area highways manager, Kevin Brumfield, said: “This work is all funded by Kier Homes for their development.”
