Schools across Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and the Deepings prepare to celebrate World Book Day

A celebration of reading returns this week with schools across the area hosting events to mark World Book Day.

It was first staged in the UK in 1997 to encourage young people to read for fun.

This year's World Book Day takes place on Thursday, March 5.
