YOUNG horse riders enjoyed an exclusive dressage clinic with a World Equestrian Games silver medallist.
Laura Bechtolsheimer visited Burghley Pony Club in Stamford through the Animal Health Trust’s Pony Power campaign.
The club raised £1,700 for the campaign, largely thanks to the efforts of Lauren Burton, 15, from Bourne, who shaved her head for sponsorship after developing alopecia.
This meant Burghley was the Pony Club branch that raised the most money for this year’s Pony Power campaign.
The dressage clinic, held at Burghley House, enabled six groups of young riders to benefit from Laura’s wealth of knowledge and experience.
There was also the opportunity to chat and ask questions to Laura over lunch.
Laura Bechtolsheimer said: “I’m really pleased to be able to support the Pony Power campaign because I really believe in the work of the trust.
“Every horse and pony I’ve ever owned, or will ever own, has benefited in some way fron the charity’s work.”
