As part of the 2015 Summer Reading Challenge Stamford Library joined up with libraries across the country to try and break the Guinness World Record for the Most Pledges Received for a reading campaign.

In a two hour period on Saturday last week more than 140 pledges were received, all watched over by local artist Karen Neale who acted as the official Guinness witness for the library.

It’s fingers crossed now to see if the same success was reflected around the country and whether a World Record will be set by the national total!
