An international rugby star went back to his roots to teach a group of young rugby players some news skills.

Former England and Leicester Tigers player Lewis Moody returned to Oakham Rugby Club to lead a day course on Monday. Lewis joined the club as a child and progressed through the ranks before joining the Tigers.

On the day he took sessions on the field and in the classroom, teaching practical skills and scientific knowledge.

Volunteer co-ordinator Barbara Crellin said: β€œIt was extremely good. The children all enjoyed it and benefitted from it.”
