So grateful

Have your say

The Alzheimer’s Society would like to thank Stamford people, our volunteers and Tesco staff for the successful collection held at Tesco in Stamford on May 27 and 28 when we raised a wonderful sum of £318.

Our special thanks go to Lesley, George, Joy, Sue, Rosie, Moira, Robbie and John who collected. This was a national event and so far has raised in excess of £150,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Alzheimer’s Society is the Tesco charity of the year.

Thank you everyone who helped or attended the table top sale at Wittering on April 16. We had a good afternoon and managed to raise £140.

The guides have given this to me towards new bowling shoes and other things that I need to keep attending bowling with NAYBC 10 Pin Bowling Academy.

It is a big help because if I am selected for the England under-18 girls’ team I will need lots of equipment.

Thank you again.

Could I through the letters page pass on the thanks of our charity for the generosity of local people. A collection for SSAFA was held outside the Co-op in Market Deeping on Saturday, June 4, which raised an incredible sum of £2,730.

As I have said before, all of this money will go towards helping serving and ex-serving members of the armed forces and their dependants.

In addition to the large numbers of injured service people resulting from the current conflict and Iraq, there are still many thousands of men and women from previous conflicts and general service who require help. This could be in the form of financial assistance, help with disability needs or needing someone to listen and help them with their worries. We are there to help them directly or to point them to an organisation that will be able to deal with the problem. Thank you once again.
