Fireworks thrown at police and takeaway during incident in High Street, Market Deeping

Youths threw fireworks and food as trouble flared outside a town takeaway.

At about 10.30pm on Saturday (May 1), police responded to calls of disorder taking place in High Street, Market Deeping.

Between 20 and 30 youths, who were thought to be drunk, were involved in the incident with some of them throwing fireworks at a takeaway.

On arrival, officers had food thrown at them and more fireworks were also thrown.

Police officers spent time with the group to calm the situation down and a dispersal order was put in place to ensure no further disorder took place last night (May 2).
