Stamford U8s took to the field at Oakham to play both Nottingham and Oakham RFC on Sunday.

First up were Nottingham - tries were traded in the first half, with Joe Roberts and Benji Fairclough both exploiting gaps.

Operating into the wind, Stamford chose the second half to find another gear. Concentrating on punching holes in the Nottingham defence with solid support play from Proctor and Blake, Stamford got back on level terms in the opening game, with Harry Palmer, continually fixing defenders in midfield and Fairclough dashing down the wing twice to touchdown.

In the second game against Oakham after a tight first half Stamford came out on top with half pitch run away tries from Oliver Parkinson and Roberts, closing out the game in style.
