The route ran from the Welland Academy in Stamford out to Little Casterton, Ryhall, Carlby, Pickworth, Great Casterton and then back to town via Tolethorpe and Little Casterton on some residential, but mostly country, roads.

Scott beat second place Anthony Johnson of Werrington Joggers by 1 minutes and 8 seconds.

Third was Hermitage Harrier Matt Adcock, 7 minutes and 34 seconds behind the victor.

The first female runner home was Gill Fullen of Bedford Harrier AC, also competing in the V50 category. She finished in 19th overall in a time of 1:58:12. Halifax Harrier Sarah Louise Cumber (V45) was third in 02:02:42, with Kirstie Meeten (V35) of Bedford Harriers not far behind in third in a time of 2:04:35.
