Baston’s Lincs FA County Junior Cup run came to an end with a bit of a whimper on Saturday when they were beaten 6-1 away at fellow PDFL Division One rivals Sutton Bridge United.

Matt Eaton was the man who undid the Goats as he recorded a four goal haul.

Sam Lilley and Kurt Scott also found a way through the Baston defence for the hosts.

The Goats’ consolation goal was scored by Troy Waters.

It was disappointing end to 2015 for Baston who went into the cup tie having won their two previous games.

However it was better news for the reserves side who beat Whittlesey Athletic B 3-2 thanks to a pair of goals from Timothy Palmer and Joe Harley.
