Bell earns the right to represent club


On Saturday the May monthly medal was combined with the Lombard Trophy at Rutland County.

The winner of the qualifier represents County with the club professional at a regional competition.

The first three holes were played into a cold wind and proved to be the hardest holes based on all completed rounds.

The Division Two results were highly competitive: Alan Millsopp scored 91-20 for a 71, Willie Keating 92-26 =66 but the winner with an incredible 82-17 for 65 was Jason Bell.

Division One was tighter with Ryan Ingram 81-10= 71 edging out wily Dave Champion (81-10, 71) on the count back for second place.

However former captain, Rod Goss shot 83-14 for a creditable 69.
