Stamford Bels beat Whittlesey Athletic Reserves in a Peterborough League Division One match

Unbeaten Stamford Bels moved into third spot in the Peterborough League Division One table after a hard-fought victory over Whittlesey Reserves on Saturday.

They bounced back after a slow start to overturn a one-goal deficit with strikes from Dave Atkinson and Lewis Morley ensuring they made a winning start to their home campaign.

Whittlesey caused Bels problems in the opening minutes and a ball over the top was latched onto by their striker who finished well.
