Bank Holiday Monday will see four Lincolnshire ECB Premier League teams battle it out for a place in the Regional Finals of the ECB T20 Cup.
Bourne, Grantham, Lindum and Skegness came through the first round of the league’s Winkworth Cup to earn a place in the semi-finals to be held at Sleaford Cricket Club.
The first match at 10.30am pits Bourne against league newcomers Grantham who will be looking to prolific run scorer Karanjit Bansal to continue his first round onslaught which brought him scores of 93 and 89 in his side’s two matches.
But Bourne have been here before, winning through to the ECB competition two years ago and will prove tough opponents.
At 1.30pm, Lindum and Skegness take to the field for the second semi-final. The Lincoln side knocked out holders Woodhall Spa while for Skegness, Reece Brant’s hat trick played a major part in the seasiders’ victory over Grimsby that saw them progress in the competition.
The final takes place at 4.30pm, after which trophies will be presented by representatives of sponsors Winkworth.
Spectators are very welcome at Sleaford to watch what are likely to be three entertaining matches.
Refreshments will be on sale and the club’s bar will be open from lunchtime.
