Bourne were out-played in all areas by Louth in the Lincolnshire Premier League match on Saturday.
Bourne made a good start in the away fixture and had Louth on 107-7 at one point.
However Louth’s partnership of Jason Collinson (83no) and Linolnshire under 19 Tom Corden (46) defied everything the Bourne bowlers could throw at them.
Louth managed a score of 220 and that impressive tally put immediate pressure on the Bourne batsmen.
And unfortunately for them they struggled as Louth’s bowlers were in good form.
Captain Pete Morgan said: “It was just one of those days when we were out-played in every area.
“We started well but then they had two come in and they hit whatever we put in front of them.
“When they bowled they seemed to be able to make the ball move around more than we could.
“It was just one of those things that we couldn’t do anything about. Once they were on top it was difficult.
“In this league you don’t have to win every match but obviously that’s what you set out to do and sometimes it is difficult to change during a match.”
Bourne face Lindum at home on Saturday.
