Easton-on-the-Hill won their opening fixture of the season, beating Loddington and Mawsley by three wickets.
Easton elected to bowl with veteran slow right-armer Jonny Grove opened and removing the dangerous Robin Cunningham early on.
Grove finished with 2-20 while Australian Shane Findlay, playing his first game for the club, took an outstanding 4-13. The fielding was outstanding as Loddington were dismissed for 112.
In reply Easton got off to a solid start from openers Joe Morton (17) and Shane Findlay (13). Two quick wickets then fell but captain Barry Hancock steadied the ship with a quick 15. Joshua Hallam then played a fine 24 not out and was well supported by some big shots from Ian Moss (17) to see Easton home for 115 for 7.
