Burghley Sixes draws announced for up-coming Cricket Week

The Burghley Park Cricket Club Cricket Week Sixes draw was completed live on Rutland Radio on Saturday and sees reigning champions Stamford Town open the tournament against Uppingham Town on Monday, July 6.

Also playing that night are Market Overton who take on Uffington.

The final tie of the night will be Castor v hosts Burghley Park.

On the Tuesday Empingham face Ufford, followed by Laxton Park v Ketton. Rounding up the action that night is Newborough v Nassington.

The final night of pool games on Wednesday sees Barnack play Stamford RUFC and Oakham face Baston. The first quarter-final of the competition will also be played that night with the other three taking place on Thursday. The semi-finals and final will be wrapped up on Friday night.

First match starts at 6pm. Each evening Buckles Solicitors will be offering up a ‘Champagne Moment’’ with the winner taking home a bottle of champagne. The beer festival will run all week in the Cabel UK sponsored beer tent, and there is a BBQ.

The club have also secured a flypast of multiple Spitfires and Hurricanes to kickstart finals day.

The flypast has been announced as 11:05am on July 10 while the club take on the Gentlemen of Leicestershire.
