Burrill shows he is made for all occasions with pair of top 20 finishes
The Qualitetch/Alston Country Homes sponsored riders of Jason Burrill, Steve Wood and James Broadley contested the Hatfield Puncheurs road race on Saturday with Burrill finishing 20th and in the points.
Not far behind, Wood finished in 35th and Broadley puncturing on the last lap.
The next day Bourne based professional Burrill finished 20th again but in the 80 mile GA Bennett race which ran off at over 25mph.
There was some bad luck for Andy Cartledge snapped a gear cable in this event and failed to finish.
Burrill is proving to be an all-rounder at moment.
Matt Garfield finished 11th, Ian Wild finished in the bunch and Broadley finished this time but at the back of the bunch in the morning event the GT Ellingworth race both near Grantham.
On Thursday evening last week the Peterborough Cycling Club fielded 20 riders plus 4 guests including one from York in our summer league 10 at Helpston with the circuit at last being clear of road works.
Steve Wood produced his second best time ever on this circuit charging round to win in a time of 22:49 with James Gelsthorpe 21 seconds adrift and Dave Sargent third in 23:12.
Both Gelsthorpe and Sargent set personal bests on this circuit.
