Cath said: “Support from the local business community and Richardsons in particular is hugely appreciated, and offers the club sufficient funds so we can continue to provide a community facility run by volunteers to all who wish to attend. We have girls and boys of all ages training at the club, and our doors are always open to people who want to train to compete or improve their overall fitness and wellbeing. ”

The boxing club has also been supported by Linford’s Fish and Chip shop in Market Deeping.

Stamford ABC boxer Leah Mann, from Deeping, will be fighting at the club’s home show.

She was presented with a cheque for £100 from Paul Linford towards the new ring.

Raffle tickets, priced at £5, are available now from Richardsons Cycles in North Street, Stamford, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Stamford Boxing Club situated behind the fire station in Stamford from 6pm to 8.30pm.

The club will also be promoting their next competition show night to be held at Deeping Leisure centre on April 11 and selling raffle tickets in Stamford High Street on March 28.

If you require further information about Stamford ABC, the club night or just want to buy a raffle ticket and get close up and personal with the mountain bike drop by and speak to members of the club.
