Cottesmore Amateurs recent up-turn in form came to a crashing end on Monday when they were beaten 5-1 away at derby rivals Melton Mowbray in the Leicestershire Senior League Premier Division.

John Love scored a first half goal for Amateurs but Jack Baker scored a double for the hosts and Emidio Chiavetta, Kieran Clayton and David Hazeldine all found the back of the next in the win.

Cottesmore start a period of games now which sees them play five of their next six matches at home, beginning with Earl Shilton Albion on January 9.
