Stamford Rugby Club has set their sights on making a return to action next month.

The newly-promoted Midlands 2 East (South) side has been forced to sit on the sidelines since early March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the Rugby Football Union gave clubs across the area the green light to return to contact training last week with a view to restarting matches in the new year.
