Beaten finalists Bourne and reigning holders Oundle will clash in the opening semi-final of tonight's Burghley Sixes finals night showdown.

Bourne beat hosts Burghley Park in last night's quarter-final clash and will be gunning for revenge against Oundle after last season's defeat.

They successfully chased down Burghley's 75 runs in the last eight clash with Sam Evison making 36 and Rob Bentley hitting 28.

Michael Hobbiss and Henry Charlton had been the mainstays of the Burghley innings with 39 not out and 23 respectively.

Oakham defeated Rutland rivals Uppingham to set up a semi-final clash with Stamford who accounted for Newborough.

Oakham had made 82 from their five overs with Ed Tattersall hitting an unbeaten 37 and Shaun Morris finishing on 39 not out.

Jamie Dumford led the Uppingham reply with 25 of their 76 runs while Alex Ashwin made 18.

Stamford secured their semi-final spot after a thrilling two run win over Newborough.

Chris Bore had made 23 and Simon Prentice 21 as Stamford struck 69 from their five overs.

Two wickets in the final over from Bore then secured victory for Stamford as Newborough fell agonisingly short.

Bore's exploits earned him the Buckles Champagne Moment of the night accolade.

The finals night action gets underway at 6pm tonight with Oundle up first against Bourne before Oakham face Stamford.
