Hook hits top score before Adatia's five-star bowling display
Fine performances from James Hook and Mehul Adatia helped Market Deeping to their maiden Lincolnshire Premier League win on Saturday.
Hook hit his side's top score of 60 as Deeping made 185-9 from their rain-reduced 46 overs before taking three wickets to aid Adatia's five-star bowling display which dismissed visiting Louth for 151 at Outgang Road.
Despite losing opener Josh Smith for five after being put into bat first, Deeping's top order produced a strong showing in testing conditions.
Kieran Judd (29) and Connor Gillett (20) looked solid for the second wicket partnership with Hook then taking over the mantle.
He made 60 before being run out by Alex Bell with wicket-keeper Sam Malton then contributing a further 33 runs to the Deeping cause.
The lower order struggled though as Josh Court claimed 5-48 from 13 overs for Louth as Deeping closed on 185-9.
Hook and Ali Sharp made early inroads into the Louth reply with 3-20 and 2-26 returns respectively.
Adatia then turned on the style with 5-44 from a 13-over spell to defy a late Louth rally led by Court (21) after Deeping had conceded 34 extras to aid the visitors' cause.
They eventually bowled Louth out for 151 to secure a vital victory ahead of Saturday's trip to Woodhall Spa.
