CLUBS in the Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League are looking forward to next weekend with some apprehension after a second successive washout.

All games rained off on Saturday and more rain is forecast,

And on top of Saturday’s full programme of league matches, Monday is the first round of the Winkworth Cup, due to be played at Hartsholme, Lindum, Louth and Skegness.

Three teams are scheduled play a round robin of Twenty20 format games with a view to finding winners for the semi finals and finals at Sleaford on June 4.

Should bad weather wipe out the fixtures, the cup rules allow for a bowl-out or toss of the coin in the case of abandonment.
