BOURNE’S Motley Crew travelled to Norfolk to face Holkham Hall on Sunday and opted to bat first on a damp track.

Their innings was notable for an outstanding knock by 16-year-old Tom Patchett, who carried his bat for a remarkably mature maiden ton finishing on 115 not out.

He was supported by Sean Patchett with 35 and Mark Ellis with 32 to enable Motleys to post 224 for 5.

Tom then knocked over three top order batsmen and Norman Brown and John Lewin took 2 each leaving Holkham well short on 142.
