Tendai Chitiza agrees to stay with Stamford AFC for next season's Northern Premier League Midlands Division campaign
Stamford have retained the services of another of their key players after Tendai Chitiza agreed to return to the Zeeco Stadium for next season.
Chitiza follows in the footsteps of fellow wingman Cosmos Matwasa in committing to the club for the forthcoming Northern Premier League Midlands Division campaign.
Like Matwasa, Chitiza joined the Daniels two seasons ago from Anstey Nomads and has been a revelation for Graham Drury's free-scoring side.
He has netted 20 goals over the past two campaigns and boss Drury believes there is even more to come from the attacking livewire.
Drury said: "It's fantastic news getting Tendai signed up and committed for another season.
"Like Cosmos, my working relationship with Tendai is based on trust and belief in each other.
"Tendai has become a real crowd-pleaser over the last two seasons with his pace and skill plus his eye for important goals.
"Tendai understands that he must keep improving his statistics with goals and assists which he is really keen to do and this can only be good for Stamford and the team.
"I am really pleased that Tendai understands Stamford want to play higher and he's a player that wants to as well.
"I believe that he's more than good enough for not just one level but two and beyond so it was always a big factor to get him and Cosmos tied down and done early."
