MARKET Deeping and Bourne both enjoyed victories in week two of the Lincs ECB Premier League.
The 2010 champions got their season on track after last week’s defeat at th Abbey Lawn wuth an eight wicket win at Sleaford.
Fahad Masood earned his wage, taking four for 65 as the home side were dismissed for 188.
Charlie Hopkins took three wickets and the club’s star seamer of the previous 30 years, David Christmas stepped up his rehabilitation from injury by bowling off four paces to pick up a wicket.
Bourne’s batsmen found their form too, racing to complete the victory in just 35 overs.
Conrad Louth led the way with an outstanding unbeaten 81, while skipper Pete Morgan led from the top of the order with 54.
Market Deeping pair Tom Andrews and Lee Peacock were instrumental Deeping’s first win of the season.
The pair delivered superb performances as Deeping fought back from a dreadful early wobble to beat Boston by three wickets at Outgang Road.
Deeping looked in deep trouble at 3-3 in pursuit of 198 as former Bourne professional Elliott Wilson grabbed two early wickets.
But, after captain David Gillett had dug in to make 41, Andrews (64no) and Peacock (51) made super-sized contributions to steer Deeping home.
Earlier they had each taken four wickets in Boston’s innings to help Deeping surprise even themselves by bowling out an opposition team.
