Deeping knocked out of KO Cup by Yaxley

There will be no return to the ChromaSport & Trophies United Counties League’s Knockout Cup final for Deeping Rangers this season as they saw an early advantage turn into a heavy defeat last night (Tuesday).

Last season’s beaten finalists went down 4-1 at Yaxley in the third round of the.

Mohammed Hamid put Rangers in front after just three minutes but Liam Hook levelled and Scott Carter quickly made it 2-1.

Dan Cotton’s penalty at the start of the second half extended Yaxley’s lead and Hook added another late on.
