Cricket leagues are starting to put their plans in place for the coming campaign.

The Lincolnshire Premier League – which features Bourne and Market Deeping – are preparing for a normal 2021 season after a truncated campaign last term due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Market Deeping stalwart John McDougall has assumed the role of league treasurer following David Wheatley’s retirement.

Bourne have also entered the National Club Championship this season and face an away tie at league rivals Woodhall Spa in the opening round on Sunday, May 16.

Stamford Town are hoping to finally play their maiden season in the top flight of the Cambs League after Covid-19 saw them opt to take part in a regionalised Hunts League competition last term.

They are due to start their Division One season on Saturday, April 24, while Ufford Park will be playing in Division Two and start their campaign a week later on Saturday, May 1.
