Role did not 'feel right' for recently-appointed manager
Oakham United manager Jimmy Brattan has resigned just three weeks after taking over at the Peterborough League Premier Division club.
Brattan admitted his appointment at Lonsdale Meadow just didn't 'feel right' so decided to step down along with his assistant AJ Carr.
The former Huntingdon manager said: "There was just something missing. It didn't feel right.
"I know togetherness takes times to build up, but I had it at Huntingdon after just a couple of days.
"My heart was just not fully in it and, after Huntingdon, I made the hasty decision to join Oakham.
"I think now I'm going to take some time out, start watching some matches and enjoying it again and, if something comes up fine, but if not then I will wait."
