Langtoft end 37-match losing streak
A last-gasp equaliser from David Burton-Jones helped maintain Deeping Rangers' solid start to the new season after a 1-1 draw at Desborough on Saturday.
Burton-Jones popped up in the seventh minute of injury-time to help preserve Deeping's unbeaten start to the United Counties League Premier Division campaign.
The match at the Waterworks Field had been held up after the Air Ambulance was forced to land on Desborough's training pitch to attend a separate incident.
The hosts had taken the lead just past the hour mark following a cracking strike from Aidan Bradshaw.
But Deeping continued to push for a leveller and were eventually rewarded for a healthy return of seven points from their first three games.
Bourne Town shared the spoils with St Andrews after a 1-1 draw in Division One.
Zak Munton had given the Wakes a half-time lead before hosts St Andrews equalised after the break.
Langtoft United ended their long search for a Peterborough League Premier Division victory after a 4-0 home success over Long Sutton.
The Vikings had gone 37 games without a victory in a winless run which stretched back to May 2017.
However, a hat-trick from Tom Lancaster a Nathan Fryar strike saw them finally break their losing streak.
A hat-trick from Michael Nelson helped Oakham United pick up a second successive point after a 3-3 draw at Leverington.
Ketton did likewise after Calum Parker netted in their 1-1 draw with Peterborough Polonia who played for 50 minutes with 10 men following the sending off of Rafal Kula.
Stamford Lions suffered their first Premier Division defeat of the season after a 4-3 away loss at Peterborough Sports Development.
Stamford Bels lost their grip on the Peterborough Challenge Cup after a disappointing 4-1 home defeat against Oundle Town.
Player-manager Lewis Morley scored his fourth goal in three games for Bels who won the cup last season.
Wittering Harriers bowed out of the same competition after a 3-0 home loss to Spalding Town,
However, King's Cliffe progressed with a 2-0 home win over Whittlesey Reserves thanks to goals from Roy Bescoby and Sean Roberts.
Cottesmore Amateurs tasted defeat after a 4-1 reversal at Rugby Borough in their Leicestershire Senior League opener. Colton Cropper netted their goal from the penalty spot.
Amateurs Reserves were also beaten by the same margin against Saffron Dynamo in their first match of the Division Two season. Ben Dawson was their marksman.
