It’s been a big week for Stamford AFC, not only have they announced the re-signing of their star striker Ryan Robbins, yesterday the club confirmed the Daniels will play Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers in a pre-season friendly at the Zeeco Stadium.

The game will take place on Wednesday, August 3, with kick-off at 7.30pm.

Wolves are just one of a selection of quality sides the Daniels will face in pre-season, taking on: League Two side Grimsby Town (July 13) in the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy, League One side Northampton Town (July 20) and Conference North side Boston United (July 23), who current Stamford manager Graham Drury used to lead.

They will then visit UCL Premier League side Deeping Rangers (July 26) and Holbeach United (July 30).

The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League action will start on August 13.
