Blackstones crashed out of the Lincs Cup on Tuesday at the first hurdle, losing 6-1 to Harrowby United.
Harrowby started fast with crisp passing which Stones struggled to contain. Two quick goals left Stones reeling. Just as stability began to return a third on 22 minutes stunned the visitors.
Jose Andre responded with a cracking strike into the home team’s net a minute later. Stones then began to make a game of it but three goals just before the interval made it 6 - 1 at the break.
Stones were a changed team for the second half taking the game to the hosts with Scotcher, De Silva and Lyon came close and Clayton producing finger tip saves to hold the home team at bay.
