Ryhall United’s James Sheehan expects his side to move up the table during the second half of the season after narrowly losing to second-placed Langtoft on Saturday.
Ryhall took the lead though and early Eddy Pentney strike but two goals late in the first half denied the home side any points.
Sheehan said: “We played really well in the first half hour but then took our foot off the gas.
“We needed to get to half time but made a mistake and got punished.
He added: “We had a solid start to the season but have played all the top sides.
“It has not always gone our way but the spirit the squad shows is always good and we are stronger than we were a couple of months ago. I still think we will finish mid-table.
“I am very optimistic about 2013. It’s about keeping the side together.”
Ryhall, who were promoted from division two of the Peterborough League last summer have recruited Uppingham’s Paul Sheehan and Will Thomas and expect to have John Feetham back in goal very soon.
