Bourne Ladies maintained their winning run with a 4-3 victory away against Wisbech St Mary on Sunday.
Wisbech took the lead midway through the first half when a corner got caught in the wind and went straight in, and the home side extended their lead when they beat the offside trap to race through to score.
Bourne were quicker to the ball in the second half and showed fantastic spirit to level the scoreline.
Benita Webster scored Bourne’s first with a fantastic left foot drive from outside the box and captain, Jemma Smith scored the second from just inside the penalty area.
Midway through the half Wisbech regained the lead but Bourne’s leading goalscorer Rosie Baker scored from close range to draw level again. It was her third goal in four matches.
As both sides sought a winner in the final ten minutes, Bourne were awarded a free kick 25 yards out and Lotti Christie beat the wall with a drive that gave the Wisbech goalkeeper no chance.
