KINGS Cliffe won 4-1 at Whittlesey on Saturday to maintain top spot in the Peterborough League’s premier division.

Andrew Bradley, Chris Garwell, Gary Gibbs and Mark Oxenham were all on target for the league leaders.

Deeping Rangers Reserves slipped further from the leaders with a 2-0 defeat at home to Leverington who leap-frogged Rangers in the table.

It was a day to forget for Oundle who were hammered 10-0 by Pinchbeck but it was a good day for the Rutland sides.

Oakham United beat Ramsey 3-2 and Uppingham Town beat Parson Drove 1-0 with Will Thomas scoring the only goal of the game.

In the first division, Langtoft United maintained their push to join the top flight with a 4-0 victory at home to Holbeach Reserves.

John Armstrong scored twice with Daniel Morris and Tony Wooding also on the scoresheet.

Mid-table Ketton beat Hampton Sports 3-2 thanks to goals from Calum Betts, Ian Marsh and Paul Richardson

At the foot of the table, Stamford Bels’ dire season gets no better. They lost 6-0 at home to Whittlesey Blue Star on Saturday.
